What we collect when you book a demo or download a paper, why we keep it, and how to make us stop.
Who we are
Chase Software Solutions Ltd, trading as Chase Software, of 16 The Mall, Surbiton, Surrey KT6 4EQ, United Kingdom. We make Lumo, the agency management system this site is about. We’re registered with the ICO under reference ZA376967.
What we collect
When you book a demo or download a white paper: your first name, email address, agency or company name, team size, and — on the white-paper forms — your role.
If you accept cookies, we also collect Google Ads conversion measurement and HubSpot page analytics. If you decline, neither runs. What they do, and don’t, is explained at what the cookies are for.
Why
Three things. To send you what you asked for — the demo confirmation or the paper. To follow up by email about Lumo and related material. And to work out which of our ads and pages are worth the spend.
The legal basis
For marketing email we rely on what the law calls legitimate interests. In plain terms: you’re a decision-maker at an agency, you asked us for a paper about running one, and we sell software for running one — so we think emailing you about it is reasonable, provided you can stop it the moment you disagree. You can, and it’s covered under Your rights below.
Cookies run on consent, given or declined when you first arrive.
Who else touches it
- HubSpot — our CRM and email system, hosted in their EU data centre.
- Google Ads — conversion measurement, and only if you accepted cookies.
- LinkedIn — conversion measurement for our LinkedIn ads, and only if you accepted cookies.
- Microsoft Azure — hosts this site, in the UK South region.
We don’t sell your data, and there’s no ad network retargeting you around the web.
How long we keep it
While there’s a live conversation — a booked demo, an open enquiry, emails you’re still opening — and for three years after the last contact, after which your details are deleted. If you unsubscribe, we keep just enough to make sure we never email you again by mistake.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, object to how we use it, or take it with you in a portable format. Write to support@chasesoftware.co.za for any of these.
One right sits above the rest: you can object to marketing at any time, and we stop. No balancing test, no “are you sure” — every email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click ends it.
If you think we’ve got any of this wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Three, all optional, all explained properly at what the cookies are for. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.
